Continuous improvement is one of the cornerstones of the KPI Programme. It is the practice of continuously re-examining and improving the way we deliver mental health and addiction services across Aotearoa to achieve better outcomes for tāngata whai ora, whānau and communities.

Engagement. It’s a common term, however, effective engagement is often nuanced by our individual contexts and the experiences that have shaped who we are, what we value and how we do what we do.
Last Thursday, the KPI Programme delivered its first-ever virtual Zoom forum. More than 70 people beamed in from across New Zealand to share their service experiences during the COVID-19 alert levels and discuss their data insights over this time.
This week our Aotearoa ‘team of 5 million’ achieved an incredible milestone – together we eliminated COVID-19. It is a story of persistence in the face of adversity and provides an exemplary example of how united focus and collective action can solve a complex problem.
