The Alcohol and Drug Outcome Measure (ADOM) is fundamentally a self-rated outcome tool, where the practitioner and tāngata whai ora collaborate to complete the questions. Data from the ADOM provides us with information on the frequency of use of alcohol and a range of drugs, the effect those substances are having on people’s lives, and their subjective view of their own recovery. ADOM is mandated to be offered to tāngata whai ora in community addiction services and has been since July 2015.
Te Pou recently launched an interactive dashboard, using the data from the ADOM to create useful information for the AOD sector. The dashboard provides team and service level information for district services and has pooled NGO data based on domicile. Individual NGO data is not identifiable.
Join Mark Smith, Project Lead for Outcomes, and Sandra Baxendine, Information Analyst at Te Pou to get an overview of the ADOM dashboard Aotearoa and the information it provides.
The session will include:
– a general introduction to outcome measurement and ways the measures can be used
– a demonstration of how to use the ADOM dashboard and get the most out of it.
This is an interactive session; we encourage participants to request access to the ADOM dashboard Aotearoa before this event. There will also be plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
Please note: Access to the ADOM dashboard Aotearoa is restricted to addiction practitioners in NGO and Te Whatu Ora services.
suitable for both beginner and intermediate information learners.
All benchmarking breakouts are run in a wānanga style. Attendees are encouraged to engage, share their experiences, learning, service tools, and ideas. It is an informal and safe setting for our workforce to ask questions and network across the motu. Benchmarking breakouts are not recorded unless specified.
