Family whānau advisor videos

On Thursday, 17 September 2026, Operations Manager Eileen Hughes and Clinical Team Lead at Manaaki House, Dawn Bannister, walked us through how they have started to improve their approach to whānau engagement in community mental health services. The insights and learning from this session were valuable for other services beginning an improvement journey to engage better with whānau.  This is the PowerPoint presentation from that session.

Representatives from Te Toka Tumai Auckland, Counties Manukau and Waitematā mental health and addiction services spoke about the impact of co-facilitated whānau education groups.
