Benchmarking Breakout: Exploring the Wait Times indicator

Take an hour out of your day to reflect on wait time data from across the motu, share experiences with peers, and explore how these insights can support quality improvement within your own service.
Together we'll explore questions such as:
- How do wait times in our district compare with others across the motu?
- What factors might be contributing to these results?
- What opportunities do the data highlight for quality improvement?
- While the government target of 80% of people being seen within three weeks for a first specialist mental health activity is largely being achieved, what do wait times beyond this first activity look like for tāngata whai ora, particularly rangatahi and their whānau? What actions might your service consider in response?
Benchmarking Breakouts are facilitated in a wānanga style, encouraging active participation, shared learning and open discussion. These sessions provide a welcoming and safe space to ask questions, share experiences and connect with colleagues from across Aotearoa.
