Benchmarking Breakout: Stronger Together – A Collaborative Approach to Whānau Mental Wellbeing

June 5 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

Join a team of experts from across two mental health providers (Yellow Brick Road and Real) who have worked together to support families to achieve positive mental wellbeing outcomes for the whole whānau. This presentation delves into an innovative model, which provided parents and rangatahi with their own unique support and advocacy while also bringing them together to define shared goals and enhance mental wellbeing for the entire family.

We will be joined by:

  • Max Gleissner-Puddick – Regional Manager Te Waipounamu and Wairarapa, and Child Protection Lead at Yellow Brick Road
  • Jade Smith – Whānau Support Worker at Yellow Brick Road
  • Richelle Sands – Team Coach at Real
  • A whānau who have completed the collaborative program themselves

Learn about the strategies, successes, and lessons from this partnership, designed to respect the different voices that exist within a family, in order to find ways to thrive as a more cohesive whānau unit. To learn more about whānau engagement in your region, check out the whānau engagement dashboards.

All benchmarking breakouts are run in a wānanga style. They are informal spaces where our workforce can ask questions and contribute safely with peers. Please feel free to bring questions and share challenges you may be experiencing in your service. Please note benchmarking breakouts are not recorded.
